The Art of Symmetry

Photography

Perfect harmony & balance.

There is something therapeutic about snapping a perfect symmetry shot. Standing there, staring through the camera view finder for a good few mins - A little shuffle to the left, and tiny step to the right. To the bewilderment of onlookers.

But the time and effort is worth it in the end when you have a shot that looks cool and satisfying to the human eye. It also brings a certain order and calmness to the scene.

Here is a selection of my most satisfying symmetry shots from my travels.

Why not try out some symmetry angles next time on your travels. Use the grid lines and horizon guides on your camera or phone screen for extra perfection... and trust your eyes.

It will take longer than shooting a generic Instragram shot... but will be worth it. And give you a warm fuzzy feeling inside.
